Stream Bob Dylan’s “Must Be Santa”

Yesterday saw the release of Bob Dylan’s new Christmas-themed album, Christmas in the Heart. And while the final product is a bit hit-or-miss (miss, definitely miss) Dylan’s heart is in the right place with the release as proceeds the sale of the album will be going to Feeding America,
“All of the artist’s U.S. royalities [sic] from sales of these recordings will be donated to Feeding America, guaranteeing that more than four million meals will be provided to more than 1.4 million people in need this year’s holiday season.“
The giving spirit remains at the core of the new Dylan songs as “Must Be Santa” is now being offered as a free stream (though it’s questionable as to whether the track is meant to encourage listeners to purchase the album, or abandon it completely).
If you haven’t been completely turned off by what is potentially the strangest holiday-themed release of the year (though it should be added that Tori Amos’ Midwinter Graces will be seeing its release next month) Dylan is offering a box set and vinyl edition of Christmas in the Heart via this site. So for the Dylan completest, you can own his new album on shiny new 180-gram vinyl and know that you’re lending a helping hand in the nation’s fight against hunger. Even if that helping hand is somehow related to Bob Dylan hastily crooning over a jacked-up Sponge Bob anthem.
