It’s a little late in the year to start releasing zombie-mashups, but combining Nirvana and Michael Jackson kind of seems like something that fits within the context of any month of the year. DJ Moule did just that this past week, bringing together the two less-than-alive acts, while tossing in some of the German electronics of Digitalism to boot.

Following the David Lynch-themed Mashed in Plastic compilation which was released earlier this year, the Reborn Identity has cut Mashed in Plastic – The Movie. The movie runs an impressive 80+ minutes in length and is a great accompaniment to the album (which can be downloaded here).

Dan Mei of Mashup Industries returned this past week with a crazy mix combining the overtly sharp sounds of Nine Inch Nails’ “The Hand That Feeds” with the sultry sweetness of Britney Spears’ “If U Seek Amy.”

The ying to zombie Nirvana’s yang, DJ Schmolli released a mix this week marking a historic landmark in the Motown’s history, “Celebrating 50 years of Motown, with one of Motown’s most successful groups the Jackson 5 and Clarence Paul, songwriter & producer for that famous Detroit record company.”
